How does the Lexvera AirShade actually work?

The AirShade has two solar panels built into the brim that capture direct sunlight and power two built-in fans continuously. The fans push cool air across your scalp the entire time you're wearing the hat outdoors. The more direct sunlight, the stronger the fans run. On cloudy days or in shade, the built-in rechargeable lithium battery takes over automatically so you never lose airflow.
Do I need to charge it before using it?

We recommend giving it a full charge via the USB-C port before your first use. After that the solar panels will keep the battery topped up during normal outdoor use. For very long days or extended periods in shade, plugging in overnight ensures you start with a full charge.
How long does the battery last?

The built-in rechargeable battery provides 7-9 hours of continuous fan operation on a full charge. For most outdoor activities — a full 18-hole round of golf, a full day of gardening, or a long hiking trail — one charge is more than enough.
Will it fit my head?

Yes. The Lexvera AirShade is designed to fit most adult head sizes with an adjustable fit system that accommodates head circumferences from 56-60cm. The adjustable chin strap with locking toggle also ensures it stays secure during active use like swinging a golf club or hiking on uneven terrain.
Is it waterproof?

The outer fabric is waterproof and water-resistant, meaning it can handle light rain and unexpected weather changes without any damage to the hat or the electronics. The solar panels and fan units are sealed to protect against moisture. We do not recommend fully submerging the hat in water.
Can I remove the fans for washing?

Yes. The fan units are detachable so you can remove them before hand washing the hat. Do not machine wash. Simply detach the fans, hand wash the hat with mild soap and cold water, and allow it to air dry completely before reattaching the fans.
